"The steep rise in the stock market over the past six months has reduced the number of investable opportunities in our research universe at this time.  We have modestly reduced our exposures where significant appreciation has resulted in less favorable risk/reward trade-offs. Recent purchases have been in the areas of global infrastructure, emerging markets retail, international property development and mergers and acquisitions advisors.

     Although we continue to endeavor to replace bonds that have been redeemed or have reached maturity, the yields on fixed income investments remain unexciting. Money market fund balances may rise temporarily since we refuse to take on the additional risks associated with extending maturities or reducing credit quality."
